About me

I am Yifan Shen (Chinese: 沈一帆), a Ph.D. student (2022 fall) of Industrial Engineering in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle, supervised by Dr. Chiwei Yan. Before joining ISE, I obtained my master’s degree in logistics engineering and bachelor’s degree in transportation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Research Interests

  • Methodologies: Large-scale combinatorial optimization, network flow optimization, stochastic optimization, data-driven decisions
  • Applications: Transportation and logistics, ride-sharing
